RLA - Extended Response
This week's GED practice test covers the Extended Response section of the GED RLA Test.
The GED RLA Test is made up of three parts:
- Reading,
- Language (grammar)
- Extended Response (essay).
The Extended Response section is basically an essay response to two pieces of writing - where you determine which argument is best supported.
You will need to answer the prompt, use evidence from both pieces to support your answer and use good grammar (proper punctuation, good word choice, etc.)
On the GED Test, your response is graded by a non-human software program (although there is human review and oversight), so it is a good idea to answer the prompt/question directly and use specific quotes as evidence. This way, you help the software easily identify the important pieces of your response.

These skills are covered in lesson 12 of the Online GED Course. The Online GED Course is available for a one-time enrollment fee of $95 and covers all four GED test subjects. You can purchase an enrollment here at MYGEDLIVE.COM.
